Dear Esteemed Colleagues and Distinguished Guests,

On behalf of the Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis (AOI), it is my utmost pleasure and honor to extend a warm welcome to all of you attending the 39th Annual Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO 2024 Congress) on the enchanting island of Bali, Indonesia.

As President of AOI and a passionate advocate for ophthalmology advancements, I am thrilled to gather with such an esteemed group of professionals, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe. The APAO 2024 Congress will feature a diverse and comprehensive scientific program, encompassing the entire spectrum of ophthalmology. Renowned experts will share their invaluable insights through keynote lectures, symposia, interactive sessions, and workshops, providing a platform for attendees to enhance their knowledge, expand their skills, and embrace emerging trends in our ever-evolving field.

In addition to the scientific program, we have curated an array of social and cultural events that will allow you to experience the richness of Balinese traditions, savor its culinary delights, and form lasting connections with colleagues from around the world. We believe that the APAO Congress is not only an opportunity for professional growth but also a chance to create lifelong memories.

Once again, I extend my warmest welcome to all attendees of the APAO 2024 Congress. Let us come together in Bali to celebrate the progress we have made in ophthalmology, stimulate new ideas, and shape the future of our field. I am confident that this congress will be a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on our collective pursuit of excellence in eye care.

Thank you, and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you in Bali!
