Welcome Message from the Minister of
Health,
Republic of Indonesia
Issue 9 -
February 2024
It
is with immense honor and pleasure that I extend a warm
welcome to all the esteemed delegates of the 39th
Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology
(APAO). Indonesia takes great pride in hosting this
distinguished event on the captivating island of Bali.
I appreciate the
Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (PERDAMI) for
supporting the Indonesian Ministry of Health's
initiative on "Transformation of Health Human Resources"
by organizing scientific meetings aimed at enhancing the
quality of our human resources.
The APAO Congress
stands as an annual beacon, uniting ophthalmologists
from across the Asia-Pacific region. Within the confines
of this congress, researchers and specialists in the
realm of ophthalmology convene to exchange ideas, share
experiences, and offer profound insights. Since this
event serves as a vital platform for disseminating the
latest developments in ophthalmology, enriching our
understanding of the science and art inherent in the
prevention and treatment of eye problems is mandatory.
Contributions made
during this congress are invaluable, propelling
advancements in eye care and exerting a profound impact
on the global management of health issues, particularly
within the Asia-Pacific region.
I extend my best
wishes to all the delegates. May the exchange of
knowledge and experiences contribute to the improvement
of eye care services on a global scale. I hope each
delegate has a truly enjoyable and enriching time in
Indonesia.
Best regards,
Budi G. SADIKIN
Minister of Health
Republic of Indonesia
