To meet the evolving needs of our congresses, APAO has conducted a review on its Achievement Award Program and is launching a set of enhanced criteria. Effective July 20, 2024, the key changes include awarding points to presenting authors of abstracts to ensure fair recognition for attendees, and reflecting contributions by abstract reviewers.

Two types of travel grants are available for APAO 2025 Congress delegates to apply for: the APAO Prof. Yasuo Tano Travel Grants and the APAO Young Ophthalmologists (YO) Travel Grants.

Successful applicants will receive travel funding (US$300 for recipients residing in the host country, and US$1,000 for those living elsewhere), complimentary registration for the APAO 2025 Congress, and invitations to the Congress Cultural Party.
