The Maldives Ophthalmology Society (MOS) was officially established in 2019 as the professional organization representing Maldivian ophthalmologists and eye health care professionals.
Guided by its primary mission to enhance eye health, MOS is dedicated to promoting high-quality eye care services across the Maldives. Through strategic collaboration with government agencies, MOS actively advances and develops comprehensive eye care initiatives nationwide.
In recent years, MOS has successfully organized numerous conferences and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, contributing to the professional growth of eye care providers. Additionally, MOS plays a pivotal role in facilitating eye health research, conducting nationwide screening programs, and raising public awareness about the importance of eye health and the prevention of blindness.
