Cambodian Ophthalmological Society

The Cambodian Ophthalmological Society (COS) was established in 2003 by a group of eye doctors and approved by the Ministry of Health with the mission to provide quality eye care services in all eye care facilities in all provinces of Cambodia; to help all eye care professionals to improve their professional skills; and to increase patients’ confidence by raising the standards of eye care services to meet the international standard.

Members of the COS include ophthalmologists, eye doctors and medical assistants all over the country who are currently providing eye care services and eye health education, and are also actively involved in the control of blindness in the country. Currently the COS has 152 members.
