Satellite Congress

Launched in 2018, the APAO Satellite Congress is a new educational initiative aims to provide ophthalmology education and science updates for APAO national members that have yet to organize an annual APAO Congress. Our Satellite Congress focusses on the specific needs and interests of the local ophthalmological community, with the aim of improving patient care in the country.

The APAO Satellite Congress should be held in conjunction with an APAO National Member Society’s annual scientific meeting and include symposia organized by APAO.

	The 4th APAO Satellite Congress – in conjunction with the 23rd Cambodian Ophthalmological Society Annual Congress in Phnom Penh on 5 December 2025
	The 3rd APAO Satellite Congress Virtual – in conjunction with the XXXIII Annual Congress of the Iranian Society of Ophthalmology (IrSO) – on June 19, 2023.
	The 2nd APAO Satellite Congress – 29th Annual Conference of Mongolian Ophthalmologists’ Society was taken place in Ulaanbaatar from August 9 – 10, 2019.
	The 1st  APAO Satellite Congress – Annual Vietnam Ophthalmological Society Congress 2018 was held in Ho Chi Minh city from November 8 – 10, 2018.
