The 4th APAO Satellite Congress, held in conjunction with the 23rd Cambodian Ophthalmological Society (COS) Annual Congress, took place in Phnom Penh on 5 December 2025.
At the Opening Ceremony, Asst. Prof. CHUKMOL Kossama, President of COS and the first female President in its history, delivered the welcome remarks, followed by Prof. Tetsuro OSHIKA, President of APAO. His Excellency Prof. CHHEANG Ra, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia, also addressed the audience, demonstrating strong government support for the event.
Curated by Prof Colin Chan (Australia), APAO Satellite Congress Convener, and thoughtfully tailored to the needs of the local ophthalmic community, the program brought together 10 international experts who shared their knowledge across 10 major subspecialty areas.
In addition, the COS organized a special tour showcasing the rich history and cultural highlights of Phnom Penh, offering the international faculty an immersive experience of the city’s unique heritage.
